ON FIRST DAY TO CIRCULATE NOMINATING PETITIONS ANDY MARTIN LAUNCHES U. S. SENATE BID WITH NEWS CONFERENCES IN WHEATON AND CHICAGO

(CHICAGO)(August 7, 2007) Chicago-based U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin will launch his campaign for the U. S. Senate by soliciting petition signatures in Republican vote-rich DuPage County on Tuesday, August 7th, the first day state law allows for circulating nominating petitions. Martin will meet commuters and later campaign in downtown Chicago.

     “Tuesday is the first day state law allows to circulate nominating petitions,” Martin says, “and I will be out there personally asking registered voters to sign my petitions.

     “We will begin Tuesday morning in Republican vote-rich DuPage County, and later continue in downtown Chicago.

     “I want to demonstrate my personal commitment to the campaign by taking a leading role in soliciting signatures,” Martin says. “We are building a statewide team of petition circulators. I will lead from the front.”
